Vintage Style 1940’s Wedding
Every couple’s wedding is unique and I never cease to be amazed how the bride and groom pull off something so amazing. This 1940’s Vintage Wedding, with a modern twist, absolutely oozed creativity and style throughout the entire day.
I met up with Billie and Chris, who were both getting ready at the Saracens Head Hotel in Great Dunmow. Billie was in the bridal suite, along with all the bridesmaids, getting ready when I arrived. This gave me time to capture photographs of the details and to go find the guys before they headed off to Maidens Barn
Back to the bride, it was all systems go with everyone doing the final touches before it was their time to get in the car for the ride to the wedding venue.
It was a fun and emotional ceremony and I absolutely loved the way Billie danced their way up the aisle. Many of the guests were dressed 1940’s style which added to the day’s celebrations.
After the wedding breakfast, I whisked the couple away in my car to a neighbouring field to take advantage of the gorgeous weather and the golden-coloured crops. This is a great part of the wedding day as it’s the first time the couple have been alone together and the bride and groom are very relaxed – the groom because he has got his speech out of the way and for the bride because of the benefits of a couple of glasses of wine 🙂
We returned to Maidens Barn in time for the evening guests, who were just arriving. It was then time to cut the cake before the happy couple had their first dance.
Billie & Chris, it was an absolute pleasure to photograph your 1940’s Vintage Wedding and I wish you both a happy and exciting life together
