Sarah & Rob’s Wedding at East Anglian Railway Museum
When the couple originally told me of their wedding plans at East Anglian Railway Museum I think I was as excited as they were.
The day had finally arrived and myself and my son, Adam, were on our way to photograph this very special day.
This was the definitive classic British wedding complete with a twist. With a traditional church ceremony and high tea wedding reception. The evening food was stone-baked pizzas and hand-pressed hamburgers.
The wedding ceremony took place at their local village church in Black Notley. After the ceremony, the guests then traveled to The Railway Museum on a classic London Routemaster, while Sarah, Rob and myself took a slight detour to the viaduct for a quick photo session. We later caught up with the guests who were being served Pimms on the platform and in the carriages.
The railway museum is a pretty quirky venue, which allowed them to create their own unique day.
After the fabulous wedding breakfast, some guests enjoyed some recreational time traveling on the miniature steam railway. Other guests entertained themselves riding bicycles and unicycles.
During this time, we headed off for a walk and to get some great photographs. Sarah and Rob were great fun to work and were happy with all of my suggestions.
The evening guests arrived as the food vans were setting up – perfect timing. with the delicious aromas in the air, the guests were soon lining up to make their order.
With the first dance completed, the dance floor soon filled up with everyone continuing with the spirit of the day and having a wonderful celebration.
